Are you passionate about olive oil and eager to learn how to taste like a professional?

 

We invite you to a Masterclass on Spanish-origin virgin olive oil tasting, where you'll have the opportunity to discover the secrets of extra virgin oils alongside an international expert.

 

During this session, we will explore extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) varieties from the renowned producer Palacio de Los Olivos, and learn how to identify the organoleptic attributes that determine their quality. Additionally, we will taste other virgin olive oils.

 

The Masterclass includes:

 

  • The methodology of olive oil tasting
  • Professional tasting of monovarietal extra virgin olive oils from Palacio de Los Olivos (arbequina, picual, arbosana)
  • Identification of negative and positive oil attributes
  • Recognition and association of fruit, spice, floral aromas, etc.
  • Culinary tips and oil preservation recommendations
  • Vocabulary and terminology in olive oil culture:
    - General concepts and quality parameters
    - Olive oil classification
    - Label interpretation on bottles
    - Preservation tips

 

Olive Oil Expert:
Luis Rubio, an expert with over 20 years of experience in olive oil tasting and sales, professor at the Olive Oil School of Valencia, and Export Manager at Palacio de Los Olivos.
